Metropolitan Medical Foundation of Oregon (MMFO) believes that small grants can make a big difference. As a small foundation with limited assets and a commitment to our continued mission of giving, the Foundation must be selective in making grant awards. Projects should support the mission of MMFO.
Mission It is the mission of the Metropolitan Medical Foundation of Oregon to support activities which improve health education and the delivery of health care to the community.
Focus The focus of MMFO activities is built upon the ideals of Building Community for Health, Building Capacity for Resilience, Promoting Well-Being and Effective Advocacy for Community Care. The four focus areas provide structure and flexibility to systematically consider both the medical and non-medical determinants of health.
The Catalyst Grant Program is designed to support innovative projects that clearly identify an emerging community need and/or may precipitate or provide the stimulus for a future project. These proposals should be developed with attention to the identified areas ofFocus as listed above.
The Catalyst Grant is a one-time only grant per project.
- Grant requests typically do not exceed $2,000.
- Requests will be reviewed semi-annually during MMFO Board Meetings.
- Catalyst grant submission deadlines are June 30 and December 31 each year.
- A follow-up report within 90 days of projection completion date is expected.
