Founded in 2011 by artist, Katie Davis, Ponderosa & Thyme seeks to educate and inspire creatives of all experience levels through social media, in-person experiences, guest teaching, and Ponderosa Classroom Online, a video subscription service for floral design.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Communications Coordinator will work closely with Katie Davis to assess and streamline Ponderosa & Thyme's various platforms for community engagement. This includes handling customer service for Ponderosa Classroom Online, writing content for mailing lists, responding to comments on social media, implementing promotions and sales, and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be an organizational whiz who finds joy in sifting through lists and spreadsheets, keeping calendars, and assigning tasks; a kind-hearted and patient people person who can communicate naturally with a diverse, international audience; and an email master who writes with flair and loves a clean layout.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
- Community communication, including Ponderosa Classroom Online and social media
- Manage Ponderosa Classroom Online, including troubleshooting for subscribers, implementing customer retention and satisfaction initiatives by working regularly with customer spreadsheets, and other responsibilities as needed
- Communicate regularly with Katie, keeping her calendar up-to-date and scheduling related tasks as needed
- Maintain and troubleshoot email marketing lists via MailChimp and Zapier
- Oversee general Gmail inbox maintenance, including email organization, responding to guest teaching and collaboration inquiries, and filing receipts and invoices
- Write content for email marketing and social media as needed
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of experience working in customer service, communications, administration or related position
- Technology savvy, especially with email marketing (specifically MailChimp), social media, and spreadsheets

SALARY/BENEFITS
- PTE: 10-15 hours/week with room for growth
- $15-$19/hour DOE
