Preferred Days of Programming

• Each program location will have 22 hours of classroom time to prepare for the competition. To ensure we meet our instructional goals, please select the day of the week that best aligns with your school schedule. Please consider all field trip days, testing weeks, assemblies, and other school activities when selecting days. CPS non-student attendance days are already accounted for. 

 

Hours

• The hours listed are the minimum hours that the class must meet per week to ensure students get 20 instructional hours before the competition date May 2024. Classes may take place during school or after school hours. Classes can begin as early as January 16, 2024

Next Steps:

Applications will be reviewed and selected schools will be notified by no later than September 30th.

The exact schedule, consent forms, and rosters will be due after a school site is accepted.
