APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements
-Candidates must be an employee of an URI partner clinic upon the time of matriculation and have graduated from an accredited OT or PT program
-Current OT or PT state licensure with modalities certification (if applicable)
-3 months experience, completed EMR training and therapist onboarding programs and ability to carry caseload of 12+ clients per 8-hour day
--CHT Mentor of same profession (preferable) within reasonable distance for frequent travel
-ASHT membership; AOTA/APTA recommended
-Regular access to personal computer with company email and use of Outlook calendar
-3 letters of reference (peer or mentor therapist, peer or clinic director, and regional director)
Above Requirements + Preferred Qualifications
-3-6 months experience in hand/UE rehabilitation in an outpatient orthopedic setting
-Ability to ultimately carry a 40% hand/UE caseload
-Membership in ASHT and AOTA/APTA
*ASHT Membership is required due to the significant resources found through this organization (free Journal of Hand Therapy access with membership, additional study resources, etc.).
*Finalists will be interviewed prior to acceptance into the fellowship program in November. Program acceptance will be limited to those who meet criteria and have an appropriate regional mentor available per policies and procedures. For those selected, pre-program introductory online modules will be assigned and are to be completed before program matriculation.
