The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is an international association that strives to stimulate a world of generosity and positive social good through fundraising best practices. For 50 years, AFP has been the leader for professionalism in fundraising, representing over 30,000 members in over 203 chapters throughout the world, who work to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs. There are currently 50 members in Newfoundland and Labrador.

In honor of National Philanthropy Day on November 15th, AFP Newfoundland and Labrador will award its annual Spirit of Philanthropy Awards to celebrate the great contributions of philanthropy in the province and to those who go above and beyond to make an impact through generosity and volunteerism.
