ATHLETE DECLARATION
I hereby declare that I have decided to retire from USA Powerlifting and the IPF and do not intend to compete at any powerlifting events in the future.
I acknowledge USA Powerlifting and IPF Anti-Doping Policy applies to me and I understand the consequences of my retirement from sport.
RETIREMENT FROM RTP
An Athlete in Registered Testing Pool who has given notice of retirement to USA Powerlifting may not resume competing in USA Powerlifting Calendar Events or IPF Affiliate Events until he/she has given USA Powerlifting written notice of his/her intent to resume competing and has made him/herself available for Testing for a period of six months before returning to Competition, including complying with the whereabouts requirements.
RETIREMENT OF NON-RTP ATHLETES
An Athlete who wishes to return from retirement to compete in a USA Powerlifting Event and is not included in Registered Testing Pool at the time of his/her retirement shall give notice to USA Powerlifting of his/her request for reinstatement at least six months before the USA Powerlifting Event in question. Such Athletes shall also submit whereabouts information.
RETIREMENT DURING INELIGIBILITY
If an Athlete retires from USA Powerlifting/IPF while subject to a period of Ineligibility, the Athlete shall not resume competing in USA Powerlifting Calendar Events or IPF Affiliate Events until the Athlete has given six months prior written notice (or notice equivalent to the period of Ineligibility remaining as of the date the Athlete retired, if that period was longer than six months) to USA Powerlifting of his/her intent to resume competing and has made him/herself available for Testing for that notice period, including (if requested) complying with the whereabouts requirements.
RETIREMENT BEFORE THE CONCLUSION OF THE RESULTS MANAGEMENT PROCESS
If an Athlete or other Person retires while USA Powerlifting is conducting the results management process, USA Powerlifting retains jurisdiction to complete its results management process. If an Athlete or other Person retires before any results management process has begun, and USA Powerlifting would have had results management authority over the Athlete or other Person at the time the Athlete or other Person committed an anti-doping rule violation, USA Powerlifting has authority to conduct results management in respect of that anti-doping rule violation.
I confirm that I have read and understood the relevant articles of the USA Powerlifting and IPF Anti-Doping Policy. I voluntarily declare that I have decided to retire from sport and not to compete.
