WARRIORS WRESTLING CLUB

Welcome Warrior Families,

We are entering our 47th wrestling season and are excited to have you as part of the 2021-2022 Warriors Wrestling Team. The Warriors coaching staff is committed to bringing a high quality of youth wrestling to Carroll County. This letter will outline some important dates for this year. So please mark your calendars now, so you don’t miss out. We always have the latest up to date information throughout the season on our website www.warriorswrestling.com and our Facebook page, so add it to your list of favorites.

Warriors Wrestling will only be offering recreation, travel, and clinic wrestling this season. We will be following all virus protocols outlined by Carroll County Recreation and Parks & USA wrestling. Practices for recreation teams will be two nights a week, while travel teams practice three nights a week, and clinic one night per week. Practices will be held at a new private facility, local high schools as well as FTC in Eldersburg. All wrestlers will need a USA Wrestling membership (please renew your card or apply for a new membership). Your wrestler will also need wrestling shoes and headgear for practices and matches.

Registration will only be offered on-line this season until October 24, 2021.

There will be a parents meeting for all parents and program
weigh for recreation and travel teams at Century High School on October 28, 2021 at 6 pm in the Cafeteria. If you would personally like to sponsor the Warriors Wrestling Program or know of a business that maybe interested, please contact me. Team sponsorships include a plaque and their link on our website. Practices for all teams begin on the week of November 1st.

Costs for this season are as follows:

$225 Travel Wrestling $125 Recreation Wrestling $60 Clinic

Transferring from One Team to Another within the MJWL

The MJWL strongly promotes community-based wrestling, while discouraging predatory recruiting practices within the league, and therefore has this wrestler transfer policy:

Once a wrestler is a registered member of a team within the league, they may transfer to another team within the league only after requesting, and receiving written permission from, the league Transfer Committee. All reasonable input from coaches (and from parents, through coaches) will be considered, and a timely and final judgment will be determined by the committee.

The MJWL may post names, pictures, and wrestling statistics on its website. The MJWL will not release private contact information to any outside entity. I further understand and agree by my signature below to the following: I assume responsibility for the reasonable care and return of singlets and warm ups loaned to the registrant and will reimburse the Warriors Wrestling Club the cost of replacement if these articles are not returned within two weeks of the last regularly scheduled event of the 2021-22 season. The Travel Team registration fee is $225.

Recreation will be $125

Clinic is $60

Sibling Discount: After full price of the first wrestler, all additional siblings will be credited a $25 discount.

(ex. Wrestler A is Rec full price: $125, Wrestler B is rec with $25 discount: $100, Wrestler C is rec with $25 discount: $100--a total of $325 instead of $375)
