  • Volunteer Code of Conduct

  • Volunteers play a huge role in the success of our organization.  We could not do this without you.
Kitchener Minor Baseball entrusts the execution of much of our program to our volunteers.  Volunteers are obligated to understand and promote the tenets of the KMBA program and must not exploit their privileged relationship with Kitchener Minor Baseball for advantage.

This Code of Conduct has been developed to aid volunteers in achieving a level of behavior that will allow them to succeed within the KMBA program.

As a Kitchener Minor Baseball volunteer I agree to abide by the following code of conduct:

    1. I will uphold the rules and regulations of Kitchener Minor Baseball
    2. I will complete the volunteer assignements that I agree to do to the best of my ability.  If I am unable to commit the required time to the role I will notify the Executive Director and do my best to hand off my duties to another volunteer.
    3. I will place the well being of the association over my personal desires for myself or my child.
    4. I will treat all those I work with in a respectful manner.
    5. I will not use foul, profane, harassing or offensive language or gestures in the conduct of their duties.
    6. I will abstain from the use of tobacco products and alcohol while in the presence of players and enforce the players’ code of conduct in regards to their use by players.

I also agree that if I fail to abide by the aforementioned rules and guidelines, I will be subject to disciplinary action levied by the Kitchener Minor Baseball Board of Directors or Code of Conduct Committee that could include but is not limited to the following:

    • Verbal warning
    • Written warning
    • Being expelled from the association
