    Non-viral, Retrovirus, Adenovirus and AAV vectors have a default bacterial selection marker of Ampicillin. Lentivirus vectors have a default bacterial selection marker of Kanamycin.

    Typically, Adenovirus, Non-viral and AAV vectors do not require mammalian selection markers due to their transient and non-integrating gene expression. It is recommended to choose a selection marker for Lentivirus and Retrovirus to facilitate selection of stably integrated clones.
