MY MISSIONS COMMITMENT
Missions Giving (1Co 16:1-2; Php 4:10-19; 2Co 8:1-15; 9:1-15) is over and above the tithe and directly supports world missions. God orders every believer to give to missions as He has prospered you (1Co 16:1-2). You may voluntarily give beyond that by making a sacrifice (Php 4:18) or even by giving beyond your means (2Co 8:8) making you a gospel partner with missionaries (Php 1:5) and providing fruit in your heavenly account (Php 4:17).
The giving commitment is a one-year, personal promise between the giver and God. It is not a financial contract; the church will not come to collect, and the commitment is made anonymously. This commitment is made in faith that God will enable me to give more than I thought I could give while meeting all my needs.
- 1. First, give every part of your life to the Lord (2 Co 8:5).
- 2. Ask God what He would want to give through you this year for world missions.
- 3. Promise God what you will give Him. Complete and submit this card.
- 4. Give cheerfully and faithfully as God enables you.
- 5. Pray in faith that God will supply, and give Him thanks as He does.
