8th Grade Confirmation Registration '22-'23

Confirmation is a 2 year process. The expectations for the first year include:

Attendance or make-up work for all class sessions (9) Classes will meet on Sundays from 10:45-noon.

- Jan 29 (church visits & discussions)

Daily time with God thru devotional, Bible reading, journaling and prayer
Students connect with their mentor each month face to face
Participate in Impact ministries (Sundays at 6:50pm, Wednesdays at 6:30pm, Events)
Complete 10 sermon notes (approx. 1-2 per month) at Plymouth Covenant Church
Students visit a church to experience ways others worship and then discuss as a group back at PCC. Options may include: Salem Covenant, Substance, Living Word, St Vincent’s, Northwoods
Join us for a SERVE connect and Serve at PCC- first impressions/Loaves and Fishes Saturdays, etc.
8th graders attend a MANDATORY confirmation retreat Nov 18-20, 2022
Students lead a 5 minute devo for their table group at a class. (Share a verse & have questions to discuss)

I have read the confirmation expectations (above) and will encourage my child to complete what is asked of them. We will make class time a priority. I will support my child's mentoring relationship. I will help hold my child accountable for daily devotions and completing sermon notes. If my child has a conflict we will communicate that with Annie in advance, when possible and complete make-up work. I give my child permission to ride in vehicles with other parents to confirmation related events (church visits, etc.). My initials below indicate my acceptance of these expectations.

We partner with families to help identify great mentors for each student. Please give us the name of the person you've asked to be your student's mentor AND their email.
