You might include influential academic, work, volunteer, activist or personal experiences that have inspired you to apply to this program. Please note that prior work experience in service or activism is NOT a prerequisite to receiving a CSGS internship.

    Essay #2: If you have already secured an internship, please answer the following question. Describe the goals of the organization for which you will be working, the specific duties you will have within it, and its significance for you and for service or activism around gender and/or sexuality issues.

  • Essay #3: If you have NOT secured an internship, please answer the following question. Imagine you are granted a 8-10 week, fully funded CSGS internship. Describe your ideal experience. What issues would you work on? How are they connected to gender/sexuality issues? Where would you work? What do you hope to gain from this experience? Include special skills or unique experiences that may help you contribute to advocacy and research in this area.
