At BeKind Rescue, every potential adopter is considered carefully on a case‑by‑case basis. Completing this form is the first step in the process. If your application is considered suitable, a member of our team will contact you to discuss your suitability in more detail, and a home check will then be arranged.

If successful, you must be prepared to attend as many meetings as needed with the dog or cat who may be a good match for you.

Animals considered suitable for adoption have been assessed by BeKind Rescue

The adopter accepts that this contract can be terminated without notice if it appears that information previously supplied to us regarding the adopter’s home situation, experience or other relevant information was incorrect or untrue.
The adopter is over 21 years of age.
The adopter agrees that should the animal go missing they will contact BeKind Rescue, DogLost and post on social media as soon as possible. I will be supplied with all emergency contacts for BeKind Rescue.
The adopter agrees to abide by all the conditions for the specific animal identified in Appendix 1 and accepts that any breach of these conditions may result in the immediate removal of the animal by BeKind Rescue.
The adopter agrees that the animal in appendix 1 will be kept as a companion only and not used for hunting or fighting.
The adopter agrees not to use any aversive equipment on the animal, including but not limited to shock collars, check chains or prong collars and will only use methods agreed with BeKind Rescue.
Adopter acknowledges that ownership of any animal is not transferred from BeKind Rescue and that the animal must be immediately relinquished to BeKind Rescue should you need to relinquish. BeKind Rescue provide full lifetime back-up.
adopter agrees to provide updates to BeKind Rescue as required and listed in appendix 1.
The adopter understands that if they require the services of a trainer or behaviourist they must only use force free, reward based qualified professionals.
In the event of the animal being unneutered the adopter will take all necessary and reasonable precautions to prevent the animal from either impregnating another animal or becoming impregnated.
BeKind will liaise with the adopter to ensure that spay and neuter happens at the best time for the dog, at the cost of BeKind Rescue.
Adopter agrees not to alter in any way the appearance of the animal including de-clawing, ear cropping, tail docking or other procedure unless instructed by a vet and with the agreement of BeKind Rescue.
Adopter agrees to provide safe and suitable care, feeding and shelter for the animal and not to cause the animal any pain, suffering or distress.
Adopter will notify BeKind Rescue of any behaviour changes, behaviour of concern, illness, or injury immediately.
Adopter will notify BeKind Rescue immediately of any change of contact details, intended change of address or other relevant factors.
The adopter understands that the microchip will be dual registered to them.
The adopter agrees that the Adoption fee needs to be paid prior to an adoption date.
Costs for adoption are as follows:

Puppies up to 18 months: £500
Dogs 18 months and over: £400
Kittens up to 18 months: £150
Cats 19 months and over: £100

BeKind Rescue Responsibilities:
BeKind Rescue will provide full history of any animal adopted and give specific written instructions for each animal individually.
BeKind Rescue will remove any animal where an emergency has occurred as soon as practical.
BeKind Rescue is responsible for spay and neuter costs when the time comes.
BeKind Rescue will provide an emergency contact number and email address in appendix 1.
BeKind Rescue will advise the adopter of any concerns during the foster contract period.
BeKind will be offering 5 weeks free insurance with your adopted animal/s. I agree that I am happy for them to give my details to ‘Agria Insurance’ to enable this set up, and I understand that they will contact me 7 days after setting up to discuss any requirements. There is no obligation to continue the insurance with this provider after the 5 weeks is up.
BeKind Rescue will not be liable if said animal should damage or destroy property belonging to the adopter or anyone else.

This agreement is the entire agreement of all parties, and there are no oral promises or representations made in addition to the contract. It may only be changed in writing signed by BeKind Rescue and the adopter.
