BeKind Rescue's potential adopters are all considered carefully, on a case by case basis. Completion of this form is the first step of this process, and should we consider your application suitable, you will be contacted by a member of the team to discuss your suitability and then we will arrange a home check to be carried out.

I agree to BeKind passing on my details to a third party for Home Check to be processed. My details will be kept confidential, and not passed on to anyone other than the Home Checker.

I agree to pay the adoption fee in full, prior to collection of my animal. I understand that this fee is not refundable should I at any stage decide that I no longer want the animal.

I agree that that the animal will be a companion animal, not used for hunting or fighting, or treated in such a way as to promote aggressive behaviour.

I agree not to use any aversive equipment on my adopted animal, including but not limited to shock collars, check chains or prong collars. I will only use kind, science based and ethical training as advised by BeKind Rescue.

In the event of adopting an animal less than 7 months old, I agree to book and pay for him/her to neutered/spayed as soon as he/she reaches an appropriate age (as advised by a vet). Furthermore, until such as time as a neuter/spay takes place, I will take all necessary precautions to prevent my animal from either impregnating another animal or becoming impregnated.

I agree to provide proof to BeKind Rescue once the spay/neuter has been carried out.

I agree to keep annual vaccinations, flea and worming treatment and insurance valid and up to date, as advised by a vet.

I agree to ensure that the information on the animal’s microchip remains correct and to update the details whenever necessary.

I will not transfer possession or custody of my animal to any other person at any time, except for temporary, short-term possession for the purpose of vet care, grooming, holiday care etc.

In the event of a dog adoption, I agree to take my dog to positive reward based training classes, or one to one sessions, as appropriate and take advice on what training is required from a BeKind recommended professional.

I understand and agree thaft in the event that I can no longer look after my pet, I will make arrangements with BeKind Rescue to take over the ownership of the pet.

Costs for adoption are as follows:

Puppies up to 18 months old £550

Dogs 18 months to 6 years £450

Dogs 6 years or more £350

Kittens up to 18 months £150

Cats 19 months or more £100

BeKind will be offering 5 weeks free insurance with your adopted animal/s. I agree that I am happy for them to give my details to ‘Agria Insurance’ to enable this set up, and I understand that they will contact me 7 days after set up to discuss any requirements. There is no obligation to continue the insurance with this provider after the 5 weeks is up.

PLEASE NOTE: Whilst every care is taken to find the right animal(s) for you, we cannot guarantee behaviour. We do ask that you reach out to us straight away if you have any issues so that we can offer guidance and support.
