Ozark Mission Project is considering applicants to serve as Directors in Training for our summer camp programs. As a Director in Training you will assist the Camp Director with the following:
- Cast the vision for the camp week and provide guidance and direction towards that vision.
- Hold the Leadership Team accountable for our mission and vision and promote the team spirit of OMP.
- Ensure the Leadership Team meets all pre-camp and camp expectations.
- Lead Adult Camper meeting.
- Communicate food allergies to the cooks.
- Ensure all participants are enjoying their OMP experience and camp is running smoothly.
- Projects: Evaluate project types prior to camp, ensure the College Staff completes all visits, and work with the Construction Coordinator and Tool Coordinator to obtain all necessary materials.
- Meals: Communicate mealtimes with the cooks; communicate headcount for Neighbor Night.
- Program: Work with Program Coordinator to ensure all materials for camp activities are purchased; coordinate the preparation and blessing of Communion elements and any special worship activities.
- Ensure thank you notes and regrets are sent in a timely manner.
- Ensure everyone gets proper rest, so they can be at their best.
- Meet campers or members of the Leadership Team taken to hospital; notify OMP Staff on call to contact the legal guardian of camper taken to hospital; communicate any follow-up information as needed.
- Track camp financials and follow the budget outlined for camp.
- Complete camp summary and send to Recruitment and Logistics Director within one week of the conclusion of camp.
