  • Become a Transfer Student Ambassador for the UCR School of Business

    The School of Business Transfer Student Ambassador Program offers a distinguished opportunity for undergraduate students to represent UC Riverside’s School of Business to a wide range of audiences, including prospective students, alumni, faculty, and community and industry leaders. As a Student Ambassador, you will serve as a key representative of the School—demonstrating leadership, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.

    In this high-impact role, you will support official university events, lead building tours, deliver presentations, and act as a vital liaison between the School of Business and the broader community. This is more than a position—it is a platform to develop professionally, serve meaningfully, and leave a lasting impression.

    Program Benefits:

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • Must be a Business Administration, Business Analytics or Actuarial Science major
    • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2
    • Must have completed at least one quarter at UCR or a minimum of 12 units
    • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Must commit to serving for a minimum of three academic quarters

  • REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
    To be considered for the UCR School of Business Student Ambassador Program, please submit the following materials:

    1. Resume
    A current résumé outlining your academic background, work experience, leadership roles, and extracurricular involvement.

    2. Essay
    Submit a one-page, single-spaced essay (12-point font, standard margins) that thoughtfully responds to the prompts listed below. Your essay should be well-organized and clearly express your enthusiasm for representing the UCR School of Business.

    Essay Prompts:

    • Why did you choose to attend the UCR School of Business?
    • Why are you interested in becoming a School of Business Ambassador?
    • What past accomplishments, leadership experiences, or involvement make you a strong candidate for this role? (You may include relevant high school experiences.)
    • Are you currently involved in any extracurricular activities at UCR? If so, how do they complement your interest in this program?
    • What are your long-term career goals, and how do you see this opportunity contributing to your professional development?


    3. Letters of Recommendation
    Submit two letters of recommendation:

    • One from a UCR faculty member
    • One from a professional, volunteer, or work-related supervisor
