Amplified is Ascend’s performance and songwriting group for young ladies ages 14-20 in Baltimore. Through the group’s three S’s—Songwriting, Sisterhood, and Service—participants in the program will develop their musical skills, character, self-expression, leadership and confidence.
Those interested in joining should have a passion for music, an interest in creating music and performing, and an interest in service and leadership. *Student should be involved in completing this application, as the questions asked are about their interest in joining.
Practice Sessions (mandatory) - Saturdays 11am-1pm
Workshop Sessions (optional) - Wednesdays 5-6:30pm
Performances - Vary throughout the year
After you have completed the application, the Director of Music Programs will be in touch to set up a meeting (in-person or via Zoom) to go over details, expectations and next steps, and answer any questions.

Though you can apply anytime, a new member must wait to "try on" and then join at the beginning of a program season.
