Middle Level Educators:
Certified middle level teachers are invited to apply for a $175.00 microgrant to attend the South Carolina Association of Middle Level Education’s Spring Conference. This grant would assist with conference registration. Please note that the registration cost will be sent directly to SCAMLE. Qualified applicants would need to complete the online application form from the link below. The application process includes a brief narrative of how the recipient plans to present content learned from the conference to a group of his or her peers. The after-conference presentation must be completed no later than April 19, 2024 and if more than one recipient is from the same school, they may present together. The online application must also include the name and email of the building level principal who will have the knowledge and capacity to assist you with your follow-up presentation. Please have approval of your building level principal before applying for the grant. Surveys will be sent to both the recipient and his or her principal as a follow-up after the conference and their presentation. There is a limit of two recipients per school. Preference will be given to those who submit a proposal to present at the conference. Please note that the deadline to apply to present at the SCAMLE Conference is October 31, 2023. If there are additional teachers at your school who may be interested beyond the first two to apply, they may also submit an application as a “wait-listed application.” These applications will be considered if there are unused funds available after the deadline.
