The sixth annual Kris Kringle Christmas Market will take place at the Charles County Fairgrounds on December 7th through December 9th, 2018. Once again there will be an indoor live nativity which includes live animals and costumed participants playing the parts of all those who were a part of the original nativity story. Live animals are provided by Mary’s Go Round. The costumes are provided (for all ages and sizes) by Pat Brennan and the participants are drawn from both our congregation and Port Tobacco Players. This is an opportunity to step into the scene and feel the joy and excitement that surrounded this tiny baby born in Bethlehem so long ago.
Thousands of people come to visit this Kris Kringle Christmas Market each year, many come just to show their children the live nativity. What an awesome opportunity to witness to our community!! To some, this may be the first time or the only time they are introduced to Christ.
Costumes and props are provided, as well as a dressing area. The display is somewhat interactive and those who cannot stand may be seated on hay bales, etc. if needed. We do take breaks as necessary. Obviously it takes quite a few people to complete the scene from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. The Market opens on Friday at 4:00pm and closes on Sunday at 3:00pm. If you or your family would like to be a part of this beautiful experience, please consider signing up for one or more of the time slots below. For any questions, or if you would like to participate but cannot do the entire time slot as listed, please contact Pat Brennan at (301) 934-0334h, or (240) 346-4080c, and you will be scheduled for whatever time you can give. What a great way to get into the rich warm feelings of Christmas!
