  • Vending Machines to Dispense Reimbursable Meals Approval Request Form

  • A contracting entity (CE) may use a vending machine to dispense a reimbursable meal as long as the vending machine is able to meet all program requirements for the meal pattern, offer versus serve (OVS), competitive foods, menu planning requirements, and meal service procedures.

  •  

    If approved, this approval for vending machines is in effect until there is a change in one of the conditions required for approval.

    CEs may submit for approval for more than one vending machine in one request. 

    Questions about a vending machine approval may be submitted to TDA by email to SNPWaivers@TexasAgriculture.gov. Vending Machine/Reimbursable Meals Request should be recorded in the subject line of the email.

     

     To submit a request to TDA, please take the following actions:

    • Complete the Approval to Use Vending Machines to Dispense Reimbursable Meals Request Form located in the Texas Unified Nutrition Programs System (TX-UNPS), Download Forms/NSLP/SBP Exemptions and Waivers.

    • Retain a copy of the submitted form for the CE’s records.

    • Click Submit when the form is completed.
