Chaverim…
Over the years, members of Adat Shalom have participated in memorable congregational retreats. We hold our retreats every other year and they offer an amazing opportunity to expand our Adat Shalom experience, to make new friends, to learn and grow, and to spend quality time with family and fellow congregants.
Join us this year, on Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 24, to Sunday, May 26, 2019. We are delighted to hold this year’s retreat at Pearlstone Conference & Retreat Center, a unique Jewish institution sharing our values. Pearlstone is accessible and kosher. All meeting rooms AND accommodations include A/C and heat. Price includes bed linens, towels and blankets plus meals and snacks for the entire weekend. Queen beds are available. Click here to see the rooming options. Pricing options are listed below.
This year's theme is "Gratitude & Blessings." The Retreat will be led by special guests, Rabbi David Teutsch and Marilyn Price, authors of the book, From Gratitude to Blessings and Back. They will be joined by our clergy and staff including Rabbi Fred, Rabbi Hazzan Rachel, Rabbi Julie, and our Shaliach Idan in creating an amazing weekend. Among many unique experiences, we will feature:
- Shabbat in the outdoors
- Havdala under the stars
- Experiential Learning
- Teen and intergenerational offerings
- Robust programming for all our children
- Torah text study
- Singing with our Rabbi Hazzan & Friends
- Deepening our connections to one another
- Exploring our spirituality with Makom@Adat Shalom
- Hikes, swimming and other outdoor activities
- Babysitting
