    As of March 2024 we're scheduling for a few summer camp sessions and Fall 2024 and beyond.

  • We are currently accepting workshop proposals for: 

    One-time workshops for adults -- One-off workshops for adults offered online, in person, or hybrid form.

    One-time workshops for youth -- youth ages 9 and up, currently offered one Saturday a month from 10 am-12 pm in our studio space.

    Adventures in Writing Summer Camp 2024 -- A half-day camp (3 hours) 1-4 pm for middle school youth at our July summer camp, August 15-19

    If you're interested in teaching a workshop twice, once for adults and once for youth, there is a space to indicate that on the form. 

    We are using a different form for our multi-week programs. Please email programs@wordcrafters.org with questions. 

    Please note:
    This form is for proposals and submitting is not a guarantee we'll run your class.

    We keep a record of past proposals for future sessions, so you don't need to submit the same proposal more than once. If we have new seasonal dates available and are interested in your workshop, we'll reach out to you with those new dates.

    If you'd like to follow up on a previously submitted proposal, please reply to the confirmation email you received.

    We're excited you're interested in working with us. Check out the details below about our community and how we create welcoming spaces.

  • What is the Wordcrafters Zeitgeist? This is that tricky, ineffable essence of Wordcrafters that’s impossible to explain but you must grok. The heart of what we offer in all aspects of what we do is COMMUNITY, INSPIRATION, and CRAFT. We are professional but not stuffy; fun and edgy, but not silly or crass; friendly and respectful, yet slightly irreverent and cool, creative, artsy, and above all, welcoming. Plus chocolate.


    What do we mean by welcoming? Wordcrafters' teachers and presenters create spaces that aim for understanding, genuine connection, and the amplification of our students' voices. We aim for inclusivity, equity, and justice in our classrooms and workshops and in the models we provide. We’re committed to questioning and unpacking our systems and structures, to re-writing and revising old narratives and making space for new ones, to getting messy, and taking action regularly to ensure our spaces create the conditions for every student to engage in the playful work required in creative projects.

    We are currently seeking youth one-time workshops for 2023 and 2024

  • We are currently offering the following youth opportunities:

    Write Club Workshops - These are two hour, one-time workshops offered monthly during the school year. These workshops are for youth ages 9 and up and are offered in-person on Saturdays from 10am - Noon. 

    Adventures in Summer Camp Workshops - This is a week of three-hour workshops with each day covering a different genres of writing. These workshops are for youth ages 11 and up and are offered from 1-4 PM one week in July. The 2024 summer camp dates are TBD.
