    Outer Limits - November 18, 2018 @ 2:30pm
    Music Director Eugene Migliaro Corporon and the Lone Star Wind Orchestra starts the 2018-2019 concert season with an adventure beyond Earth’s horizons into the vastness of outer space. The LSWO performs music of Mason Bates, David Gillingham, and Peter Meechan, including marking the 100th anniversary of the premiere of Gustav Holst’s The Planets with “Mars, the Bringer of War.”

     

    Viva La Clarinete - March 24, 2019 @ 7:30pm
    All the way from Spain, the Barcelona Clarinet Players joins the Lone Star Wind Orchestra at the Meyerson Symphony Center for a special Spanish cultural concert. Under the direction of Maestro Eugene Migliaro Corporon, the LSWO performs North American premieres of two concertos for clarinet quartet and wind band, including Oscar Navarro’s The Musketeers (Check out this excerpt).

    Joyride - January 27, 2019 @ 2:30pm
    The LSWO marks the 10th anniversary of Eugene Migliaro Corporon as Music Director. This concert celebrates Maestro Corporon’s love of cars with a program including John Adams’ Short Ride in a Fast Machine, John Mackey’s Redline Tango, and Michael Markowski’s JoyRide. The wind orchestra also gives the world premiere of James Stephenson’s Concerto Grosso for solo flute, alto sax, bass trombone, marimba, and wind band.

  • Youth Winds: Shenandoah - May 12, 2019 @ 2:30pm
    Amanda Drinkwater, Director of Fine Arts for Lewisville ISD, conducts our annual Lone Star Youth Winds Mother’s Day concert. The Youth Winds welcomes composer Donald Grantham and will feature the 2019 Youth Winds Concerto Competition winner. Program details to come soon.

    Youth Winds: Made in Texas - March 3, 2019 @ 2:30pm
    Newly appointed Director of Bands at Tarleton State University David Robinson leads the Lone Star Youth Winds in this concert. The Youth Winds welcome euphonium soloist Blake Birmingham, winner of the 2018 International Falcone Euphonium Competition, to perform Buckley’s Yellow Rose of Texas Variations.
