My services and fees are competitive to others in my area. But the difference is that I have been doing Notaries and Weddings at Lerdo County Jail since 2015. I’ll do all the running around for you and take care of all your paperwork, so you don’t have to. Paperwork that’s needed to get married at Lerdo can easily take up to 6 hours to complete. I know the proces and if you want it done right. I’m the person you come to.
Majority of the time it’s $300 and it is rare but it does happen we will charge $1,000.
The total fee starts at $300: for filing out your Wedding Application, Traveling to Lerdo County Jail, Notary Service, Filing Your Wedding License with the Wedding Officiant at The County Clerk’s and conducting your Wedding Ceremony at Lerdo.
There is a separate fee to purchase the Wedding License at the County Clerks Office: $101.00 (Fee may change without notice) You must pay this fee in order to get your Wedding License.
All you have to do is show up at the Kern County Clerks Office with the Wedding Officiant to get your Wedding License issued to you and show up at Lerdo for your Wedding Ceremony.
Lerdo County Jail Marriage Information:

[ ] Service Contract Agreement will need to be signed and total fee must be paid when we meet. Fee will pay completion of the “Affidavit Inability to Appear” form, Notary Public Services, Wedding Officiant Services and Travels.
[ ] You will need to call Lerdo County Jail (Facility where your fiancé/fiancée is being held) and request to speak to the Deputy in charge of Marriage Coordination. Once you have them on the phone, advise them that you are requesting a “Notice of Incarcerated Individual” letter, because you are wanting to get married to your fiancé/fiancée. Also advise your fiancé/fiancée to put in a Inmate Request to the Deputy in charge of Marriage Coordination and request “Notice of Incarcerated Individual” and you will be picking up the letter once it’s ready.

If you are connected to a telephone message machine, leave the following information:
Leave a message that you are requesting a letter “Notice of Incarcerated Individual”, because you are wanting to get married:
•Leave your First and Last name.
•Your Fiancé name and Booking number.
•Your phone number to call you back.
You must leave the above information or the staff member will not return your call.
It can and sometimes will take up to 45 working days to get your letter ready for pick up. When your letter is ready, you must pick it up yourself. Lerdo wants to make sure that you are the person getting married and also bring your Original Government Issued Photo I.D.
Let them know that you hired Zekes Mobile Notary Services to do your “Inability to Appear”paperwork.
[ ] Once you get your “Notice of Incarcerated Individual” letter in hand, call me and let me know. We will meet or I’ll email you the “Affidavit Inability to Appear” packet and you can start on the “Affidavit Inability to Appear” paperwork. I will travel and meet with you or you can mail it back to me (see Mailing Address below), then I’ll travel to Lerdo and then travel and meet with your Wedding Officiant to drop off your paperwork. I will call or text you once I meet and drop off your paperwork (“Affidavit Inability to Appear” form) with your Wedding Officiant.
[ ] Your Wedding Officiant will contact you and set up a time and date to meet at the Kern County Clerks Recorders Office (1115 Truxtun Ave.,1st Floor, Bakersfield). Once inside at the County Clerks Office, sign-in on the computer that’s located on the counter. Stop by at a computer that’s along the back wall and fill out the information for a REGULAR PUBLIC MARRIAGE LICENSE. You will need to know information about your fiancés/fiancée parents (names, places of birth, etc.) and the dates of past divorces. Your wedding officiant will bring the notarized “Affidavit Inability to Appear and bring the Wedding Application” form.
Your Wedding Officiant will stand in for your fiancé/fiancée and take the oath given by the County Clerk. Once paperwork is complete, your Wedding Officiant will receive the Marriage License, right there and then.
When you meet your Wedding Officiant at the Kern County Clerks Recorders Office. Bring with you the following:
[ ] Bring the “Notice of Incarcerated Individual” letter. (G- 900 Attachment B).
[ ] $101.00 (fees could change without warning) to pay for your public marriage license. Money Order
[ ] Call Lerdo (Facility where your fiancé/fiancée is being held) and advise them that you need to make an appointment for a wedding ceremony (wedding ceremonies are only done on Mondays). Let them know that you hired Zekes Mobile Notary Services to do “Inability to Appear” form. Once you know, let your Wedding Officiant know what time your wedding appointment was set for.
[ ] Your Wedding Officiant, yourself and one witness will meet at Lerdo for your wedding ceremony (Appointment that you made with Lerdo staff). Bring your Original Government Issued Photo I.D. - required (no exceptions). If you don’t have a witness to bring.
You need one witness to join you in your wedding ceremony at Lerdo County Jail. If your unable to bring a witness, let the Wedding Officiant know.
[ ] Once inside, your wedding ceremony will be done behind glass. After the wedding ceremony your Officiant will get your fiancé/fiancée signature on the Wedding License, after which your Officiant will take the completed marriage license to the county recorders office so it can be recorded.
