Beaver Scouting is very popular in Hitchin. To help manage the allocation of places, Hitchin District Scouts operate a Centralised Waiting List for Beaver places, to which most of the groups are signed up to. Some groups operate their own waiting lists and will need to be contacted directly.

Names can be added to the Centralised Waiting List when your child reaches age 5. The form below will collect any preferences you have regarding a particular Colony, meeting night, sibling link or location. Places will be allocated as they become available to children aged 6 and above, based on length of time on the list (longest first) and any other preference that is indicated

We would love to open another Beaver Colony to help relieve the pressure on waiting lists, but to do so need some additional volunteers to run this. If you are interested in helping or would like to know more about what is involved, please get in touch via dcs@hitchinscouts.org

Hitchin District Scouts will use and share the information you provide only for the purposes of administering your application to Hitchin District Scouts and District groups. We will share the information with those involved Hitchin Scouting, other Scout Groups and Leaders so they are aware of and can confirm your participation in Scouting. We will keep the data provided until membership of a group is confirmed or you ask us to stop your application to Hitchin District Scouts.
