Updates for 2026 School Bookings!

We’re thrilled to share that on Thursday 16 October, we reopened our historic 1929 Grand Foyer along with seven newly restored galleries on the north side of the Museum — including the much-loved WWI Hall of Memories, Mataaho Volcanoes, and Te Ao Tūroa Māori Natural History galleries.

Please note: the Māori Court and Pacific Galleries remain closed while essential remediation work continues.

Exciting news for schools — from 2026 onwards, programme prices are reduced from $7 to just $4.50 per student!
