    *Per IRS regulations, money deposited pre-tax into a parking and/or transit account is intended to be used for commuting to and from work.
  • NOTE: Parking/Transit changes must occur by the 20th of the current month for the deductions to begin the following month. Changes received after the 20th will be captured for deductions to begin the month after next. 

    eg. If you submit your change on March 3rd, your changes will be effective April 1st and be reflected on your first paycheck in April. If you submit a change on March 25th, your changes will be effective May 1st and be reflected on your first paycheck in May.

  • I authorize the Met to deduct the monthly amount(s) specified above from my pay to contribution to my parking and/or transportation account(s). I understand this amount will be divided into weekly amounts and deducted from my weekly paycheck four times a month for deposit into my account.

  • IMPORTANT: Per IRS regulations, transit and parking account funds can only be used for expenses related to commuting to and from work.

    Please note, while actively employed, your account balance will roll over from year to year. Upon termination of employment with the Met, any unused funds will be forfeited and cannot be returned to the employee. This is in accordance with IRS regulations, not an internal policy of the Metropolitan Opera.
