  • We highly recommend that you draft your answers in a separate document, and then copy them into this form when they are final. That will safeguard your work and will keep you from having to type the entire applicaton again, should the Community Preservation Committee ask you to revise your proposal.

  • Application Process

  • As early as possible Review Sunderland CPA Guidelines and CPA Allowable Uses.
      Pursue partnerships, matching funds, and vendor estimates. These are keys to the success of your proposal.
      If you are proposing a capital project, consult with the Town Administrator on the Town Capital Planning process.
      Consult with the CPC Chair to ensure project eligibility and learn how best to position your proposal.
    December - January  Prepare your proposal.
      Secure letters of support.
    No later than January 30 Submit complete proposal using this form.
    February 5 @ 7pm Attend CPC Public Forum and present your proposal.
    February 12 Reserve as a snow date to present your proposal.
    March 9 Submit revised proposal if requested by the CPC.

     

  • If your proposal is recommended by the CPC:

    Friday, April 24 Present your proposal to Town Meeting.

     

  • If your proposal is approved at Town Meeting:

     Throughout Year Execute project as proposed. If issues arise, communicate with CPC Chair.
      Approve project invoices and forward to CPC Treasurer for payment.
      If requested, provide project information for Town Newsletter. 
      If requested, submit progress report or attend CPC meeting.
