KEYHOLDER members have access to our studio facilities to make their own work in paper, print, and book. It is the Keyholder's responsibility to reserve single use equipment (such as presses or exposure units) in advance of the time they intend to use them where applicable. KEYHOLDER members have access any time during The Soapbox's operating hours from 8 am to 10 pm daily.

Members are expected to attend a Member Information Session and take a Soapbox workshop before working in each studio area by way of orientation.

During OPEN HOURS, The Soapbox is open to the public. Keyholders seeking help from a studio monitor may work during Open Hours to access support.

Open Hours at The Soapbox are weekly:

Sundays, 1pm - 5pm

Wednesdays, 6pm - 10pm

*If a member lapses for more than 6 months, another orientation session will be required, and another fee charged.

WORKING KEYHOLDER membership is $115.00 per month, including one storage unit and requires one hour of volunteering per month or an ongoing volunteer role. This can be met through either attending workdays and volunteering at special events or taking on a dedicated role like joining a committee.

NON-WORKING KEYHOLDER membership is $135.00 per month, including one storage unit (such as flat file drawer, locker cubby, or screen storage space).

STORAGE can be a flat file drawer, locker cubby, or screen storage space. Additional storage can be rented at $5 per unit per month, and can be selected at time of first payment.
