ESC PROGRAM POLICIES, PROCEDURES, AND WAIVER
This policy covers all programs, workshops, and events offered by Edmonton Seniors Centre.
Responsibilities:
Edmonton Seniors Centre, staff, instructors, and/or volunteers cannot be held liable for any physical injuries incurred during any of the Centre’s events, programs, and activities.
Admission Requirements:
Members registering for programs will be given priority over associate members, reciprocal members, and non-members.
- Associate members are those persons under the age of 55.
- Reciprocal members are those with a current membership at: Central Lions, Northgate Lions, SAGE, South East Edmonton Seniors Association, NWESA, Westend Seniors Activity Centre, Strathcona Place Society, or St. Albert Seniors Citizens’ Club.
- Valid reciprocal memberships will be recognized for instructional programs only. ESC membership are required to participate in the social and drop-in programs.
- All non-members will be charged an additional fee.
Registration:
Registration will take place at the back office desk. Full payment is due at time of registration.
- Programs must have the minimum number of participants registered one week prior to the program start date to proceed.
- Participants are not registered until the program fees have been paid.
- Late registration will be allowed ONLY if space permits. Payment will be due in full at that time.
- Drop-in fees apply to instructional programs when space permits and the minimum number of participants have been met.
- The Centre reserves the right to cancel programs with insufficient registration, at which time refunds will be issued to those who have paid.
- ESC membership is required to participate in non-instructional programs and social programs; e.g., Bridge, Cribbage, etc. Drop-in fees for these activities are payable at the main desk prior to the beginning of each activity.
Payment Method:
- Cash, credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, or cheque, at least one week prior to the program start date (except for drop-in fees).
- Receipts issued for program registrations are NOT tax deductible.
- Financial assistance may be available in certain circumstances. Please discuss with the Asst. Executive Director or the Executive Director.
Withdrawal:
Withdrawal from a program does not constitute grounds for a refund.
Refunds:
No program fees will be refunded unless the program is cancelled by Edmonton Seniors Centre.
