Information about the National FFA Teacher Ambassador Program:
Objectives:
-Answer questions and provide training and regular communications related to the various educational resources and experiences offered by National FFA.
-Provide solicited or nonsolicited, relevant feedback from the educational field to National FFA.
-Serve as ambassadors from different backgrounds and experiences and be "a voice" of the organization to teachers across the country.
-Advance teachers in the area of professional growth.
Professional Growth Opportunities to Benefit Teachers:
-Ambassadors go through three days of intensive training to learn about and collaborate on educational resources.
-Ambassadors present multiple workshops and are required to gather feedback from workshop participants on how to improve their presentations.
-Throughout the year, ambassadors work with teachers from across the country to brainstorm and share ideas.
-Ambassadors are recognized throughout their respective states as content experts and are often referred to other teachers as sources of information.
Responsibilities/Expectations of Ambassadors:
-Present a minimum of one workshop about educational resources and opportunities offered by National FFA.
-Post twice a month in Communities of Practice, the Ag Education Discussion Lab on Facebook or other relevant outlets in regard to educational resources provided by National FFA.
-Host one webinar or informal Q&A session with teachers.
-Complete a self-evaluation after each workshop and webinar.
-Have attendees of each workshop and webinar complete an evaluation.
-Create a resource (training or lesson plan) over the course of a year that can be utilized by National FFA.
-Be a positive representative of the National FFA Organization.
-If attending the National FFA Convention & Expo, present a teacher workshop individually or as a pair. (Must complete a workshop presenter application.)
-If attending the NAAE Convention, present a teacher workshop individually or as a pair. (Must submit a workshop proposal; acceptance/declination is determined by NAAE.)
