Duties
Provide foundation design and engineering consulting services. Perform field inspections, testing, and engineering analysis. Perform calculations, design of deep foundation systems, including plans and specifications, and the writing, preparation, and review of related reports. Apply sound engineering principles to all work. Communicate complex engineering issues and concepts to both technical and non-technical clients. Analyze and design deep foundations for structures ranging from residential to commercial. Furnish structural inspection reports based on visual inspections of buildings. Coordinate with clients, engineers, and contractors. Review construction drawings. Provide clarification to requests for information (RFIs) and Addendums to ensure successful completion of projects. Assist in the preparation of shop drawings, plan, specification, and other project related documents. Analyze data and perform engineering calculations and analysis for PE review. Make design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications for review and consideration by the Professional Engineer of Record. Interact with client and project team in developing scope of services and communication project progress. Utilize knowledge of building and design codes. Prepare technical presentations and produce designs and drawings. Use AutoCAD, Enercalc, LPile, RISA, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or equivalent and three years of experience in the job offered or three years related structural engineering experience; AutoCAD; Enercalc; LPile; RISA; Excel; Word; PowerPoint; and, with building and design codes.
