Eagala Independent Study Program

Thank you for participating in Eagala's Independent Study Program for Eagala Certification continuing education.

Please fill out the form below for the type of independent study you completed. One form is to be filled out for each type/title. To keep a record of your responses, you may want to first complete in your own document saved on your computer and then copy and paste the answers into the form below. Please make sure you attach an agenda/learning objectives for your independent study item so that we can make an informed choice about approval.

Once the form is completed, please submit payment for the number of continuing education units in the Eagala store.

Independent Study can be used for 10 of 20 CEUs in a renewal cycle that you do not have to attend a live training. Once 20 units of continuing education has been completed, you can renew your certification in the Eagala store. Any questions, contact equine@eagala.org

Team Approach: All Eagala sessions involve a team of credentialed Mental Health professional (MH), qualified Equine Specialist (ES), horses, and clients.Ground-based: No horseback riding is involved. Instead, effective and deliberate techniques supporting the clients' metaphoric stories are utilized in ground-based experiences.Solution-oriented: The basis of the Eagala Model is that all clients have the best solutions for themselves. Facilitators hold space and employ skillsets that create an environment where clients can explore, problem-solve, and discover, and supports the flow of where clients and horses direct the process - verbally and non-verbally.Code of Ethics: Eagala has high standards of practice and ethics and an ethics committee and protocol for upholding these standards. Eagala practitioners commit to upholding these standards professionally and personally.
