Eligibility:
According to the May 5, 2010 ABA Memo:
"The ABA provided an overall 'blanket' approval of the elective as presented as long as programs / trainees comply with the requirements previously utilized by the ABA and RCC for other 'outsider' rotations (i.e., not to occur during the CA1 or final 3 months of the CA3 year and satisfactory CCC reports)."
In short:
Applicants who will be in their PGY - 4 / CA - 3 year and fellows during the 2019 - 2020 academic year may apply
Applicants who wish to serve during the last three months of their third year of residency will require additional approval from the ABA to participate.
New this year: due to overwhelming interest in the program, applicants who will be PGY-3 / CA - 2 are no longer eligible to apply. These applicants are encouraged to apply the next application cycle.
Upon acceptance into the program, ASA will notify individuals for whom we require additional ABA approval, if applicable.
