DATA PRIVACY
We take your privacy very seriously and we ask that you read this privacy notice carefully as it contains important information on who we are, how and why we collect, store, use and share personal data, your rights in relation to your personal data and on how to contact us and supervisory authorities in the event you have a complaint.
Eunisure collects, uses and is responsible for certain personal data about you. When we do so we are required to comply with data protection regulation and we are responsible as a data controller of that personal data for the purposes of those laws.
In the course of providing our service to you we may collect the following personal data when you provide it to us: contact information; identity information; financial information; product details; employment status; lifestyle information; health information; data about criminal convictions or offences; details of any vulnerability; details of your dependents and/or beneficiaries under a policy (if you are providing information about another person we expect you to ensure that they know you are doing so and are content with their information being provided to us).
We also obtain personal data from other sources in the course of providing our intermediary services. Where we obtain this information from another party it is their responsibility to make sure they explain that they will be sharing personal data with us and, where necessary, ask permission before sharing information with us.
The personal data we obtain from other sources may include the following: product details from lenders and/or product providers; identity and sanction checking information from identity and verification checking agencies.
We have reviewed the relevant regulatory requirements and have assessed where we have legitimate interest to hold and process your data and where we require additional consents. Our Privacy Notice provides full information of this breakdown which is available to you upon request from your adviser or at info@eunisure.co.uk.
Certain types of personal data are considered more sensitive and so are subject to additional levels of protection under data protection legislation. These are known as ‘special categories of data’ and include data concerning your health, racial or ethnic origin, genetic data and sexual orientation. Data relating to criminal convictions or offences is also subject to additional levels of protection. We may process health information and lifestyle information when providing intermediary services in relation to a protection insurance product, and/or annuity products for the purpose of advising on, arranging or administering an insurance contract or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
There are certain suppliers we may deal with as part of the services we offer to you which are outside the EEA. If we provide you with advice relating to such suppliers your data may be transferred outside the EEA. Such countries do not have the same data protection laws as the United Kingdom and EEA and we will therefore conduct due diligence on such suppliers to ensure your privacy rights are protected. You have a right to ask us for more information about the suppliers and safeguards we have put in place.
You have legal rights under data protection regulation in relation to accessing, correcting, erasing, restricting, transferring or understanding the use of your personal data. Additionally, you can object to how we handle your data and to any automated decision that is made in relation to it. For full details of how to exercise these rights and information on keeping your data secure, please refer to our Privacy Notice, which is available to you upon request from your adviser or at info@eunisure.co.uk.
If you are not happy with the way we are handling your information, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioners Office. It has enforcement powers and can investigate compliance with data protection regulation (www.ico.org.uk). We ask that you please attempt to resolve any issues with us before the ICO.

The exact cover, exclusions, limitations and excesses of each policy in the marketplace will vary. Where we recommend products which may have similar benefits to your existing cover or replace your existing cover we will do using only the information you have supplied to us in this document or information we have because we arranged such other products for you that your existing cover is likely to significantly affect the recommendations we are making.
Where we arrange an insurance policy or policies for you will also receive from us
- a document entitled ‘key facts’ about our insurance services, which will tell you more about the services we are providing and in particular whose products we will offer you and whether we will give you advice.
- a policy summary containing key details about the insurance details we are arranging including significant exclusions or limitations to the cover.

In most cases you will receive these documents and a copy of this document before we submit any application on your behalf. In some cases, for example if you need immediate cover, this may not be appropriate and we will explain the information to you then send you written confirmation. We will ask you to tell us if you want immediate cover or for any other reasons you wish to proceed before receiving information in writing.
The information requested by us is required to ensure that any product offered is appropriate to your personal circumstances. Failure to provide some information may lead to inappropriate advice/ information being given. The information may be held on computer and may help form the basis of future services.
This information is provided on the understanding that it will be used in strict confidence and that places you under no obligation to take any suggested recommendations.
