Greg & Dorothy Chapman Community Policing Scholarship in
Law Enforcement and Justice Administration.
Greg Chapman served as a police officer in Plainfield, Illinois for six years while he attended classes at Western Illinois University. While employment expectations and a different career path kept him from completing his bachelors in Law Enforcement at Western Illinois University, he considers WIU his university and places a high value on their graduates. Having se1ved as a police commissioner with the village of Plainfield, he understands the importance of well-prepared officers. He also heavily believes in the importance of community and volunteer service as he helps in multiple areas, including the United Way, YMCA, Lions Club and an Interfaith Food Pantly.
