PJ Library in South Africa is a programme of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, implemented in partnership with the South African Board of Jewish Education. In Cape Town, the program is carried out in collaboration with the United Herzlia Schools. The award-winning books celebrate Jewish culture, values and traditions through a wide range of stories and beautiful illustrations.
Hundreds of children in Cape Town are already subscribed to PJ Library through the following schools:
- Herzlia Alon Ashel
- Herzlia Kerem
- Herzlia Highlands Primary
- Herzlia Constantia Primary
- Herzlia Weizmann Primary
- Phyllis Jowell
- Sinai Academy
If your child attends a different school, but meets the eligibility guidelines below, please use this form to enrol your child(ren) for a direct subscription, which will be available for pickup at a designated location.
Eligibility Guidelines:
In order to be eligible for PJ Library, your child must be raised in a Jewish family and be in one of the following age groups:
- Junior group preschool
- Senior group preschool
- Grade R
- Grade 1
- Grade 2
Please note that once your child graduates Grade 2, he/she will no longer receive PJ Library books.
