STATEMENT OF OBLIGATION
The official method of correspondence between Thomas More University (TMU) and its students is via the TMU email address assigned to each student. I understand that I am responsible for accessing my TMU assigned email account on a regular basis (at least once per week) and for taking any required action indicated in official university notices sent to my email address.
Request and completion of registration constitutes a contractual obligation to pay tuition and fees for which I am liable. I am responsible for reading and understanding TMU's current DROP / REFUND policy as it appears in the current Schedule of Classes. Permission to cancel enrollment does not constitute, nor shall it be construed as, a waiver by TMU of my financial obligation. I understand that any financial assistance I receive will be applied against my billed charges to reduce my financial obligation.
Students whose accounts are not paid by each semester's established deadlines may be subject to course cancellation. Students with unpaid account balances will be placed on Financial Hold by the Bursar's Office. Students placed on Financial Hold become ineligible for further registration, and diplomas and transcripts will not be released until the student account is paid in
I agree that I am responsible for all outstanding debts and contracts with TMU. TMU reserves the right to assess financial penalties on any indebtedness, including but not limited to: late fees, interest, collection costs, and legal fees. Any past due accounts may be referred to an outside collection agency, which could result in the addition of such collection costs.
I authorize TMU and its representatives to contact me regarding my account balance and/or my loan(s), including repayment of my loan(s), at the current or any future number that I provide for my cellular phone or other wireless device. Such contact may be made using automated telephone dialing equipment or artificial or pre-recorded voice or text messages.
