Please note: You may apply for membership at any time, but you must complete the membership process within three months of your application date. If current membership spots are full, applicants who meet all requirements will be placed on the waiting list. Membership applications must be completed no later than the Sunday prior to the General Membership meeting to have a first reading.

• Pay a non-refundable $75 application fee. This fee covers the cost of new member processing. This fee will be collected at the END OF THIS APPLICATION. Applications will not be considered unless the fee is paid.
• Must be a citizen or legally living in the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a current NRA membership.
• Must have a current Permit to Purchase, Permit to Carry, Police ID or Military ID.
• Must be sponsored by a current member of GRRC.
• Must have attended two consecutive member meetings (see the calendar at https://www.grrc.org/events/calendar/ for meeting dates) and be approved by a 2/3 vote.
• Must subscribe to the following oath and pay the required dues.

"I pledge allegiance to the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands.  I certify that I am a citizen of the United States, or living in the United States under approval of the US Government. I am neither dependent upon narcotics or convicted of a felony, and that I am not a member of any organization or group pledged to or working for a program aimed at the destruction of our present system of government as established by the Constitution of the United States."

Dues (Subject to change at any time)

• Regular Membership (no work days): $250 per year
• Regular Membership (1 work day):  $175 per year
• Regular Membership (2 work days): $100 per year

Application Form

If you would like to become a member of GRRC please fill out a membership application form. A completed copy of your form will be emailed to the email address you include in your applicaiton. 

GRRC communicates with members via email. When a membership opening occurs, you will be notified via the email you include in this application. If your email address changes, you must notify the club secretary. If you fail to notify the club secretary of an email address change, you may lose your membership slot. Once you have completed this application, a copy will be emailed to you. If you do not receive a copy via email, please contact the club secretary to ensure that the correct email address was listed on your applicaiton. 

GRRC is a 100% NRA Membership club. NRA membership is required to join and to renew membership with GRRC. Membership in the NRA can be purchased from GRRC. Please click the link below to be directed to the NRA website. Our club will receive credit for the referral, which helps with grant applications and other benefits.

List three individuals who will provide a reference regarding the information provided on this application. List the email address for at least two.

GRRC may contact your references to determine your qualifications for membership.

It takes many talents and skills to keep GRRC successful. GRRC has many work day opportunities each year. As a member, you are encouraged to participate in work days. Membership dues are reduced by $75 for each work day performed (Up to two work day credits allowed per member).

GRRC holds general member meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of most months (please see the calendar at https://www.grrc.org/events/calendar/), starting at 7:00 pm. Attendance is strongly encouraged.  

Sponsorship by an existing member, who has been a member for at least one year, is required to join GRRC. If you need a sponsor for membership, leave this box blank. The Vice-President will attempt to arrange a sponsor for you. Contact your sponsor with questions regarding the club. Your sponsor should attend your two required meetings with you. 

 

Each prospective member must attend a range tour led by a member of the range tour committee. Range tours are required in order to ensure understanding of the unique safety requirements and operation of each of the ranges. Range tours are typically held the Saturday after the monthly membership meeting. 

After submitting this application electronically, an email will be sent back to you. This email will include a BLANK range tour packet which you must print and bring with to your range tour. After completing the range tour packet, you must turn it in at your next scheduled membership reading/meeting.

Applicants may not use the range (except during events open to the public, or with a current member) until they have been voted into the club, paid their dues and received their gate fob.

Acceptance of electronic communication for club notices and communication:

By placing my signature below I agree that the club may send me official club notices and communications via email.

All legal, contractual, and regulatory disclosures and communications associated with your GRRC membership.

All communications in either electronic or paper format from GRRC to you will be considered "in writing" and delivered "by mail".  You should print or download for your records a copy of this agreement and any other communication that is important to you.

By placing your signature in the signature box, you adopt your signature as your electronic signature and you give your affirmative consent to receive electronic communications to you as described herein.

The prospective member must bring a printed copy of this completed form to his/her 1st and 2nd readings, which are held at the GRRC General Member Meetings. These meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7pm. Meetings are typically held at the Forest Lake American Legion, Post 225. Please check the GRRC events calendar (www.grrc.org/events) for changes prior to the meeting date.

Upon being accepted as a member of GRRC by the General Membership, the club Secretary will determine if an available membership slot is available. When a slot is available, the applicant will be notified via email and must pay their dues by the date given by the secretary. Failure to complete payment by the date indicated will result in the applicant being required to restart the membership process.
