How many classes is the visit for?

We charge per hour for our visits rather than per class. Each class can take from 30 mins to an hour to allow all the children to get involved (for an average class of 30 pupils).
Approximately how many pupils will be involved in the visit?

In order to keep our animals happy we will organise our visit class by class so that they're not overwhelmed meeting all the pupils at once. For incredibly small classes we can mix year groups together.

If bringing the goats or the pony, they will be travelled in a 3.5t horsebox, which is roughly the size and shape of a large Amazon delivery van
Terms & Conditions of Booking
Woodlands Animal Sanctuary would like to remind you that all animals have the ability to bite, kick and scratch. Whilst our animals are well-behaved there is still a small chance that they could cause injury, especially if they become distressed. Our staff are fully trained to be attentive to any behaviour changes in our animals.
Please ensure you listen to all instructions given by our member of staff during your visit, for both the animals and your own safety.
Our staff are fully qualified and DBS checked but are not trained for childcare. Please ensure there is at least one member of school staff present with the class throughout the entire visit.
If you require a full risk assessment or any other documentation such as proof of insurance, please email the sanctuary at
info@animalsanctuary.org.uk
with a list of what you require. This will be sent back over to you via the email address you contact us on.
Woodlands will only cancel visits in the event of an emergency i.e. staff or animal illnesses. If this happens, we will rearrange your visit for the next available date.
Woodlands reserve the right to cut a visit short if any of our animals become distressed, especially if they pose a risk to the children and adults present as a result.
Invoices will be sent out prior to the visit taking place. These will have instructions on how to make payment to the sanctuary and must be paid within 14 days of the visit.
