Classes are run during the school term and attendance is expected to keep your place in the class.

Holiday classes will be available for students who wish to attend over the school holidays, subject to availability.

Homework is given after every class and it is expected to be completed each week. Repetition and practice is very important for success and good grades in Maths.

Prices

Two hour class (Group session)- $110

One hour class (Group session)- $55

One hour class (Private session)- $120

Term 1 (10 weeks)

Monday 22nd January to Sunday 31st March

Term 2 (10 weeks)

Monday 15th April to Sunday 23rd June

Term 3 (10 weeks)

Monday 8th July to Sunday 15th September

Term 4 – (10 weeks)

Monday 30th September to Sunday 15th December

Classes are still run on public holidays. For Monday classes, the first class for the term might be the day before school starts and for Sunday classes, the last class for the term might be after school has finished for the term. These classes will still be run as we can begin to prepare for the term ahead and to keep the 10 week terms consistent for everyone.

Payment

When you sign up for tutoring at A Star Maths, you are committing to one term at a time.

* If you discontinue classes mid term, you will be charged until the end of the term. Payment options are outlined below.

** If you wish to discontinue classes between terms. You must notify us during the holidays, before the beginning of the new term. If you don't, the weekly payments will begin and then continue for the rest of the term.

Weekly automatic direct debit (set up like a gym/childcare direct debit through IntegraPay). You will be debited from the beginning to the end of the school term as per the dates outlined above.

Direct debit from a bank account will not attract any fee’s.

Visa/Mastercard* attracts a 1.98% surcharge

Amex attracts 3.85% surcharge

A failed transaction will attract a $4.40 fee per transaction fail

* Additional 1.10% will apply to International Credit Cards

Non attendance

If you are unable to attend class, the payment will still be charged. You are welcome to attend a makeup class within one week of the missed class, otherwise you forfeit the missed class.

Please email for availabilities for the makeup class. It is your responsbility to request a makeup class if you would like one.

If A Star cancels a class

If we have to cancel your class do to tutor illness, you will have the option for a make up class if you wish. If this isn't suitable for you:

- if you paid cash at the beginning of the term, we will refund the price of the cancelled class

- if you have a weekly direct debit, you will not get charged for that week
