Signature Session Fees & Digital Images
Client agrees to pay photographer a retainer of $75 at the time of booking to secure their appointment date and time. This is a non-refundable retainer that goes toward your session. Payment needs to be made via paypal or venmo within 24 hours or this contract will be void.
This contract between Lauren Soignet Photography and the client stated shall not become effective until it is signed and the initial amount due has been paid. At the time the contract takes effect, Lauren Soignet Photography shall reserve the due date window agreed upon. For this reason, in the event that client cancels the contract for any reason, all monies paid shall be retained by Lauren Soignet Photography in order to offset loss of business.
The remainder of your session fee is due at the start time of the session. Please provide at least a 48 hour cancellation notice. If you need to reschedule your session, your retainer can be used towards a new session of equal or lesser value offered by the artist within a three month time period. If you are unable to reschedule in offered availability, a cancelation will result in forfeit of retainer.
A balance of $175 is due at the start time of your session. The full payment of $250 covers the time and talent of photographer, basic retouching and creative editing of images, as determined by the photographer. Final edited images will be downloaded by client via a private online gallery. Unedited, RAW files will not be available. Your gallery will expire 20 days after your link has been sent to your email. Additional editing is available at additional expense to be determined by photographer. This package does not include a disk or prints.
Inclement Weather/ Lighting
If inclement weather or other adverse conditions prevent the session from meeting the photographer's artistic standards she may elect to reschedule.
Failure to Perform
If the photographer cannot perform due to illness or emergency, the deposit will be refunded to the client if a reschedule is not possible. The photographer will have no further liability to the contract. This limitation on liability also applies in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or media malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the photographer.
There is no other photography allowed from family and friends during the portrait session unless verbally requested.
Your session includes a high resolution download images as well as a print release. You may not alter or crop the photos in any way (this includes auto enhancing, cropping and filters on social media.). The digital negatives or prints are the property of client for personal use and for the purposes of the reproduction and giving of photographs to friends and relatives and not to be used by the client for profit.
After six (6) months, all images may be purged from photographer’s hard-drive, except as needed for promotional purposes, to be determined by photographer at photographer’s sole discretion. Photographer is not responsible for loss or damage to the digital files due to circumstances beyond photographer’s control. If after those 6 months you happen to need your images again, please ask as photographer may have them. A $45 fee will be applied for expired galleries to be accessed and re uploaded for instant download.
Photographer Rights & Liability
Photographer has the right to stop a session at any time if client(s) become unruly or disrespectful, payment must still be made in full and only images that were taken during the portion of the session will be delivered, no refunds, no reschedules. Photographer is not responsible for any injuries inflicted upon any participating parties. Client(s) will be responsible for any children and for themselves and release photographer from any claims against their person or their business.
Refunds will not be given and photographer is not responsible if client is unhappy with their images due to choices of clothing, make-up, hair, location choice, mood of those participating in images, weather related issues, or by not following the recommendations of the photographer.
