Neighborhood Council Bus Bench PSA Request From

***IMPORTANT*** PLEASE READ:

The City of Los Angeles's Bus Bench Program enables City Departments and Neighborhood Councils to display Public Service Announcements (PSA's) on City's bus benches free of charge. Please note that while there is no cost to post and display PSA's, there is still a cost associated with printing. Due to the high number of requests, we ask that Neighborhood Councils advertise 1-6 bus bench PSA's within their boundaries.

Please keep in mind that access to bus benches for PSA campaigns is subject to availability so no specific location is guaranteed and your PSA may be relocated from time to time.

ARTWORK
All bus bench artwork must be completed 6 weeks in advance of your running date. For instance, if you plan on running PSAs on 2/1/19, then your artwork must be completed by 12/20/18 and ready to be reviewed. All artwork must meet the bus bench design specifications and include the City Seal (download the city seal here) in the design.

PRICING AND PRINTING
Make sure your board has approved and set aside a budget for bus bench printing costs.

Printing cost must be paid to Martin Outdoor Media before the job is sent to the printer. Once the proof is approved by your board, it will take up to 10 business days for printing and placement of the ads.

Since your board does not have a bus bench artwork yet, you cannot continue this request at this point. However, you may use or edit a Canva template provided by the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment or hire a graphic designer to create the artwork for you.

The president/chair of your council should have received your Neighborhood Council's Canva account login information. If you need assistance with Canva, please email Communications@EmpowerLA.org.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER
We recommend that you reach out to at least 3 different graphic designers. Graphic designers hired by Neighborhood Councils will need to sign a contract, giving City of Los Angles the rights to all intellectual property; this includes drafts and finished products. Once hired, please make sure to share the bus bench artwork specifications and the delivery deadline with the graphic designer.

Remember, all bus bench artwork must be completed 6 weeks in advance of your running date.
