Come experience practical teaching in a safe and supportive community as we work to equip families, churches, and professionals to better serve children impacted by adoption and foster care. Featuring Trust-Based Relational Intervention® methods, developed by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross from the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU, to bring attachment and connection in families.
We will collect your registration fee at the door (cash or check made payable to Redeemer PCA with ETC in the memo line). Registration fees are as follows:
$5 per person per day or $15 per couple for the whole weekend
The registration fees cover the cost of hosting the conference, snacks, drinks and coffee. You will have an hour and 15 minute break for lunch. The church is conveniently located to many good restuarant options or you are welcome to bring your own lunch and eat it at the church. Childcare is not provided but if you need to keep a baby with you, feel free to do so.
Empowered to Connect provides a conference viewing guide. The viewing guide includes the key takeaways from each conference presentation by the staff of the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU and other speakers. The full-color guide contains ample space for participants to record notes, as well as helpful charts, diagrams, and additional resources. We will email a digital version of this guide a week prior to the conference. However, if you would like to purchase a full color printed version for an additional $5, please choose that option below.
If you need training hours for your foster license or adoption home study, you will have the opportunity to collect up to 11 hours. Please let us know below if you will need a certificate for your hours.
If you are a professional and need continuing education hours, please register at showhope.org/ceu. Please also indicate below that you will be collecting these hours.
