Preserve Steward - Attends group workdays for habitat restoration such as tree plantings and invasive species control, trash clean up events, and trail building and improvements.
Stream Monitor - Participates in biannual stream sampling events on a Saturday morning and Monday evening in May and September.
Vernal Pool Monitor - Completes a training and monitors 1-3 pools twice in the spring and once in the fall.
Preserve Monitor - LFC has 5 Nature Preserves open to the public and we need volunteers to walk the property three times a year. Monitors will use an App and take pictures. A training will be provided for this role.
Office work- help with mailings, filing, and other duties.
Fundraising and events - help increase visibility through community engagement efforts.
Adopt-A-Trail: upon being trained, help with routine trail maintenance in one or more of three areas, including 1) helping dispose of trailhead trash, 2) clearing trails of vegetation, branches, and debris, and 3) trail mowing specific sections of trail with personal equipment.
Trail Camera Data: help inventory trail usage data collected by staff from trail cameras. Training provided.
