OFFERS OF WORK
Work is offered only on an ad hoc assignment basis, cannot be guaranteed and can be declined or accepted at will.
Each ad hoc assignment is for a specific task, constitutes a separate and finite contract of employment and automatically terminates on completion.
Offers are made in advance and include notification of the fee payable for satisfactory completion and an understanding that all work is confidential in nature.
In the event of an assignment being cancelled, and no alternative work is available, cancellation fees may be payable according to a set scale.
ACCURACY OF ASSIGNMENTS
Assignments must be conducted in accordance with the given instructions and fully completed within the given time scale.
All responses to questions must be recorded in an accurate and honest manner.
Interviewers must abide by the Market Research Society Code of Conduct.
If instructions are not carried out or the MRS Code of Conduct is not observed, adjustments to all, or part, of the relevant fee/fees may be made.
FEES AND EXPENSES PAYABLE
Fees and allowable expenses are paid monthly by bank transfer, after deduction of tax and NI (if applicable), at the next scheduled pay date.
Reasonable expenses are paid but must be supported by the appropriate receipts.
Payment for excess travel time is not an automatic entitlement but will usually be agreed when an assignment is offered.
Holiday pay is automatically added to the fees on each pay claim.
If certain expenses are paid in advance, CMR reserve the right to deduct any excess on the advance from subsequent pay claims. Should the interviewer not wish to accept further ad hoc assignments, any outstanding advances must be repaid in full.
Interviewers are covered by CMR insurance policies for personal injury to, or damage to the property of, a third party but are responsible for ensuring that they carry all other appropriate and adequate insurance, including motor insurance, whilst undertaking assignments for CMR.
CMR Terms and Conditions do not constitute a contract of employment.
