Note: Please review class descriptions on website for pre-requisites before choosing a class.  

Please do not wait to register or submit payment. Classes that do not meet the minimal number of fully enrolled participants will be canceled.

Canine Class Policies and Guidelines

All classes offered by My Canine Companion, LLC at the Canine Adventure, LLC facility.  We use the most advanced science-based positive reinforcement training techniques. We do not use, nor allow corrective (physical force or intimidation) techniques in our classes.  The instructor reserves the right to dismiss any handler/dog team from class who displays inappropriate behavior.

Classes are structured to coach handlers in the the correct techniques for effectively communicating with their dogs through vocal cues, hand signals and body language. 

• Class fees are non-refundable. If a class is full or cancelled, you will automatically be placed in the next scheduled class session.
• There are no refunds nor make-up sessions for portions of group classes that are missed.  
• All dogs must have veterinary proof of up-to-date core vaccinations. 
• No sick canines should be brought to class. If you dog has experienced vomiting, diarrhea, cough or fever they must be clear of all symptoms for three days prior to returning to class.  Any dog that has been treated for a contagious illness may not return to class without clearance from their veterinarian.
• Children under the age of 12 years are not permitted in the training room or on the agility field.
• Special arrangements must be made with the instructor in advance for children under the age of 17 to participate solely in class without a parent or adult guardian.
• No canine visitors are allowed on the premises.
• It is preferred that only one person train/handle the dog in class.  However, one additional adult family member is encouraged to attend and observe classes so they can work with the dog at home.
• Please potty your dog on the North side of the building (near the privacy fence) before entering the building.  Owners/handlers are responsible for cleaning-up after your dog in and outside of the building.  Failure to do so can lead to class dismissal without refund.
• All dogs must be leashed before unloading from vehicles and kept on-leash at all times (unless otherwise instructed during class). 
• Owners/handlers are responsible for keeping their dogs on-leash and under control at all times.
• The use of choke, prong, or electronic collars, muzzle harnesses and/or the use of harsh treatment is prohibited and will result in a dismissal from class without refund.
• If you have physical limitations, please contact us prior to the first class meeting.  If at any time during class you are physically unable to complete an assigned training task, please speak-up.
• Please wear comfortable flat toe-enclosed shoes (no flip-flops)

Dog Training Waiver Statement

 I understand that participation in dog training class is not without risk to me, to members of my family, guests who may attend, or to my dog(s).  Some of the dogs which I will be exposed to may be difficult to control and may be the cause of injury or damage, even when handled with the greatest amount of care.  I agree to hold My Canine Companion, LLC, Canine Adventure, LLC, and their owners, employees, agents harmless from any and all liability of any nature, for loss or injury that I, a family member, or any other person accompanying me to any training session or my dog(s) may incur, including but not limited to, injury or damages resulting from the action of any dog, including my own.  I personally assume all liability for any such claim while attending any training session with My Canine Companion, LLC at Canine Adventure, LLC or while on the training grounds of Canine Adventure, LLC.  I understand that my dog(s) will be exposed to other dogs in the class.  As a preventative measure my dog is fully vaccinated against any illness that this environment can foster.  I personally assume the responsibility for any and all veterinarian care necessary for my animal as a result of our participation.  I also understand that from time to time photographs and/or video may be recorded of the classes in progress, including the participants and their canine companions.  I give permission to My Canine Companion, LLC and Canine Adventure, LLC to use my name and any photographic likenesses taken of me, my canine and my minor children who may attend any class, in all forms of media for advertising, trade, and any other lawful purpose.

I understand that I am completely responsible for the behavior and actions of my dog, and will not hold My Canine Companion, LLC nor Canine Adventure, LLC and their owners/operators liable for any damage done to or by the above mentioned dog.  Completion of my full name, date, and dog's name will signify by comprehension and agreement. 

Please submit payment as soon as possible to secure a seat in class. Class registration is not complete until payment is received.
