In August of 2015, the State of Minnesota enacted the Positive Support Rule to establish methods, procedures, and standards to be used by providers for the use of positive support strategies with persons receiving services. The purpose is to improve the quality of life of persons with Intellectual Disabilities who are receiving services from licensed programs. This training fulfills seven hours of the training requirements of the State of Minnesota for staff to provide positive supports.
