Schedule a visit by a professional service company, as needed. A qualified lighting company will clean your dimming and/or relay systems, review your equipment and make recommendations. For sound systems, they will review connections, check amplifiers and re-balance your system.
3. Label - The time to label is not when the system is down and your facility is in crises mode!

4. Inventory
Expensive equipment like sound or lighting consoles; monitors; process equipment; computers
"Portable" equipment like microphones, clips, cables
"Consumable" items like tape, batteries, lighting gels and clips or clamps
Anything that could be a depreciating tax asset or a potential insurance matter (damage or loss). Take photos and record make/model/serial number(s).
5. Events (plan for rentals; order batteries, lamps & lighting gels; fix broken equipment!)
