The Florida Sunshine Ambassadors Mentoring Program was established on the foundation of inspiring our youngest ambassadors to identify and cultivate their passions and desires for community service while learning how to positively impact the communities in which they live.

It is our goal to introduce our ambassadors to the four points of the Miss America Crown, Service, Style, Success and Scholarship that will inspire their ability to reach their full potential and see their dreams one day become reality. While Sisterhood is not one of the four points of the crown, it is by far one of the most rewarding and will create life long relationships. 

Each participant must be no younger than 5 years old or no older than 13 years old on June 25, 2025.

It is strongly encouraged that the Ambassadors attend the Miss Florida and Miss Florida's Teen Competition, where they will explore workshops and events, and share in a group community service outreach project. Registration at the state competition, for the Florida Sunshine Ambassadors will begin on Wednesday, June 25th, each ambassador will be welcomed to join the state program on the day that fits their family schedule. Families are responsible for their accommodations and meals during this week.

STATEMENT of UNDERSTANDING

I understand that the Florida Sunshine Program is NOT a competition, but a mentoring and learning program hosted by the Miss Florida Scholarship Program.

I further agree with all decisions made by the Miss Florida Scholarship Program as it relates to the Miss Florida Sunshine Program.

I am submitting this application for approval and shall ensure that my daughter will always conduct herself in a polite manner, will be friendly and courteous towards the other participants and volunteers and will behave in a manner that will not embarrass the program, themself or our family.

I further agree to conduct myself and all parties present with me during any event in which my daughter is acting in the full capacity as a participant of the program in a professional manner, which includes any official local competitions licensed through the Miss Florida Scholarship Program.

TRANSPORTATION, HOUSING & MEALS

I further understand and agree that I am responsible for and will furnish all transportation, meals and housing while participating in the Florida Sunshine Program.

TICKET TO STATE COMPETITION

I further understand that two (2) tickets will be provided by the Miss Florida Scholarship Program to be utilized by the above named Florida Sunshine participant and her parent/guardian for each preliminary competition(s) and finals during the 2025 Miss Florida/Miss Florida Teen's competition.

TICKET(s) TO OPTIONAL EVENTS

I also understand that if any optional events are scheduled, tickets to those events may be offered to the Florida Sunshine participants and it would our responsibility to purchase those tickets in order to participate in those events.

PHOTO RELEASE

I hereby grant to the Miss Florida Scholarship Program, Inc., and their respective licenses, successors and assigns, the right and permission, with respect to the publication of photographs of the minor named above on whose behalf I represent with respect to any printed matter in connection therewith. The Miss Florida Scholarship Program, Inc. has the absolute right and permission to use, reuse, publish and republish photographic portraits or pictures of the minor or in which the minor may be included, in whole or in part, for the program's website, social media pages, advertising, etc. 

I hereby release, discharge and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Miss Florida Scholarship Program, Inc. and their respetive heirs, legal representatives, licensees, successor and assigns, from all claims and demands whatsoever arising out of or the forgoing, and waive any right to inspect or approve the same.
