The Mission of the White Salmon Arts Council is to:
Develop and promote artists and the arts through educational opportunities.
Foster a spirit of community and goodwill through art marketing relationships with local businesses.
Build an area-wide arts community through art-inspired programs and events.
The White Salmon Arts Council is incorporated as a Non-Profit Corporation in the State of Washington and
is exempt under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Federal EIN: 06-178127
Here are some important things you need to do before completing this form:
The scholarship will be a grant of up to $1,000 to be applied to the costs of tuition, room, and board, fees or books and materials incurred as part of a college education. If the grant is greater than $600 the applicant's social security number will be required for the filing of a 1099 form with the IRS.
Graduating seniors living within the White Salmon School District and intending to study the arts at an accredited college or university may apply.
The Selection Process
The applicant will provide a completed application by April 3,2019 along with a written statement of intent to study the visual or performing arts and three letters of recommendation. If the application is accepted, the applicant may be scheduled for an interview by the Selection Committee of the White Salmon Arts Council and asked to make a presentation of a portfolio, demonstration or performance of their work.
The Disbursement of Funds
The grant will be awarded to the student upon proof of enrollment in an educational institution.
